The Department of Oral Biology is located in new buildings at the Rikshospitalet University Hospital at Gaustad, Oslo city from 1999. It is a part of the Faculty of Dentistry. The Department has just over 60 employees. It does research in anatomy, physiology, cell biology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology and immunology, as well as teaching in basic and preclinical dental sciences. Total area: 4700 m2, microbiology: 205 m2 offices. Positions: Professors/associate professors: 13, professor II: 3, Postdocs: 3, PhDs: 15, Technicians: 19, Administration: 3.
